Report & Photo Gallery 2003 We
are pleased to announce the 2003 event has so far raised
raised £4,697.90 for Hope House with an estimated
£1,000 more yet to come in.
The Fifth Annual
Wrekin Barrel Race saw the record holders Hobson’s
Harriers from the Cock Hotel Wellington, retain their title
of Champions of the Hill and improve their time with a new
record of 26 minutes and 3 seconds.
17 teams of four took
part in the Classic Race. The first Ladies team sadly had
no competition but it was great to see the spirit and enthusiasm
of the ladies dressed as schoolgirls and completing the
course in 30 minutes 11 seconds
For the fifth year, strongman
Dan Earthquake from Bilston was unchallenged in his individual
run with a full barrel. This year he did it without a rest-stop
at all. Can anyone meet his challenge?
