It had always been a dream of mine to open a restaurant. I never believed my dream would be realised especially in Tenbury, being a local girl. Since meeting Chris (Whitehead) at Waitrose, we began to plan our ‘corporate escape’ always wondering whether it would really happen. After years of working in London I had a vision for an upmarket wine bar, where women would feel comfortable to visit, at any time, for a drink, chat, and catch up, and to eat good quality, healthy local produce, whilst perhaps enjoying a sophisticated night out, and let their hair down.

The opportunity arose for us both to ‘jump ship’ and dive in to the world of self employment, and the even murkier world of planning our restaurant dream. Not easy, and certainly not cheap. We found our site, part of the old Clockhouse in the centre of Tenbury wells, which was at the time a greengrocers.
