Newport is a small market town located near to the Staffordshire border. Its origins date back to the 12th century, but many of the original buildings were destroyed by a major fire in the 17th century.

Visitors can enjoy a selection of pubs, cafe's and restaurants. Nearby are the beautiful ruins of Lilleshall Abbey.
