Created as an affordable alternative to the “V” and Glastonbury style festivals, OsFest will transform the 37 acre Showground site into a Festival Village with several camping areas, a food village, VIP hospitality suites, a main stage, funfair and many other attractions aimed at a wide and varied audience.
The organisers believe the Shropshire area has been crying out for an event of this nature for many years. The mainstream festivals are expensive beyond most people’s reach these days and this is a great opportunity for people of all ages and families to enjoy a festival atmosphere and some fantastic music, on their doorstep and at a much more affordable cost.
The line-up is still being negotiated but the intention is that there will be 22 acts across Saturday and Sunday. These will be a mixture of well known, established artists combined with some of the amazing, emerging bands and artists that we have in the local area.
Director Mike Scott says; “This will be an amazing platform for new emerging bands to play on the same stage as some of the UK’s leading artists. It is an incredibly exciting initiative and we are fully expecting a sell-out event given the incredible level of interest to date.”
Tickets will be available for individual days, full weekend camping and VIP and will be going on sale online at www.osfest.co.uk, by phone on 01691-670027 and through various partner outlets to be confirmed.
Tickets will go on sale in the New Year and numbers will be strictly limited.
There will be many corporate opportunities and anyone interested in supporting the event through sponsorship or simply getting involved should contact 7th Sense.
Acts will be announced as they are signed and information will be published on the festival web site www.osfest.co.uk
