The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust is hosting a month long art exhibition in the Footprint Gallery at Jackfield Tile Museum. Entitled ‘50 in The Footprint’ it runs from 3 to 31 May 2008.
Featuring 50 works of art from 14 Shropshire artists, including Beverley Fry, the exhibition is a showcase for the many and varied artistic talents currently flourishing in Shropshire. The free entry exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 5pm.
Fusion is a contemporary new centre for the creative industries; resident designers and makers include two glass artists, a sculptor and letter carver, fine art printer and framer, and a bicycle hub. Most of the studios are open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday offering an insight into the skills behind the art works. Visitors can also buy or commission pieces from the artists.
