Lovely Cottage with Outstanding Views
Rock Cottage is a delightful traditional beamed cottage situated in an elevated position right in the heart of South Shropshire with outstanding views across the surrounding countryside.
It nestles on the edge of the tiny village of Wentnor set in a large elevated garden and paddock of nearly an acre. Outside there are several patio areas for sitting out with table and chairs taking in the lovely views that surround this delightful property It is well situated for exploring the area with many walks, a bridle path borders the garden. Or alternatively you could just come and chill out and do nothing! |

Facilities
The excellent accommodation consists downstairs of lounge with open fireplace in an old fashioned range, TV with sky satellite.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need including cooker, microwave, fridge/freezercomp, dishwasher and washing machine. Off the kitchen is a large conservatory with a dining table and chairs so you take in the fantastic views across the South Shropshire countryside.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double room with lovely views from the windows and a further bedroom with Norwegian style bunk beds adult size. There is a bathroom with bath, sink and separate shower cubicle with shower and just across the landing is a separate toilet. There is oil fired central heating throughout the cottage.
Nestled between The Longmynd and The Stiperstones (which can be seen from the garden). The hamlet of Wentnor has two pubs, a village post office and shop and a tourist information centre. These are all within a short walk of the cottage just down the hill.
There is also The Sun at Norbury, 2 miles away and The Bridge at Ratlinghope also only a couple of miles away. The situation of the cottage makes it easy for exploring Shropshire and the surrounding areas. Bishops Castle is only approx 6 miles away which is a small town with bigger shops and banks etc. Other attractions are within easy reach such as Shrewsbury and the famous area of Ironbridge. The famous gourmet town of Ludlow is also only a few miles away. ------------------------------------------------------------ THE WILDERNESS: We also have The Wilderness - a detached cottage nestling at the foot of the Stiperstones surrounded by an English Nature reserve with immediate access to walks and hills.

The cottage will be ready for occupation by 3.00 p.m.
Linen, towels and electricity are included in the weekly rental.
A cot can be provided if required (no linen provided with the cot). On the day of departure you must vacate by 10.00 a.m.
Dogs are welcome but must be well behaved as this is sheep country.

| From Shrewsbury take the B which is off the A5 towards Hookagate. Keep on this road through the villages of Annscroft, Londgen, and Castle Pulverbatch. Carry on this road following the signs for Wentor for approx 14 miles and you will reach The Inn on the Green pub on the right hand side. Just opposite turn left go past the post office and up the hill and Rock Cottage is around the corner on the left hand side. |
