Throughout the duration of the 2008 Much Wenlock Festival an exhibition of the works of local artists will take place at the Guildhall. The exhibition is to be opened by Mr Gareth Davies whose company, Keim Paints, is one of the sponsors of the Festival.
The works to be exhibited will demonstrate a range of styles and subject matter in a variety of media. The Festival is once again delighted to be able to showcase the very best of Shropshire’s artistic talent in such an historic setting.
As in previous years all the works on display will be available for sale.
Guildhall opening times:
Monday to Saturday 10.30 – 1 pm & 2 – 4.30 pm
Sunday 2 – 4 pm
AN INVITATION TO ALL AMATEUR ARTISTS:
English Heritage is pleased to invite 30 members of the public who are AMATEUR ARTISTS to apply for free admission to Wenlock Priory on Wednesday 11th June. Bring along your pencils, brushes, papers and paints and take advantage of the magnificent surroundings.
Admission is from 11am until 4pm and this opportunity is on a strictly first-come first-served basis. If you are interested please call 01746 789370 to register, leaving your name and return telephone or e-mail contact details. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible.

Keim Paints
Keim Mineral Paints were developed as a direct result of an edict from the then King of Bavaria who wanted to recreate the highly popular lime frescos of Italy for his own buildings. Unfortunately these lime frescos simply could not survive the harsh climate and his Court scientists were therefore instructed to find a solution.
