Leasowes Cottage is a barn conversion adjacent to the main house, set in tranquil private grounds in a quiet rural location off the old Roman road 3 miles north of Church Stretton and close to the beautiful Stretton Hills.

The market town of Church Stretton is about 3 miles away, and has a good range of high street shops, antique shops, inns and restaurants. The small Thursday market is held in the square, and there is a main line railway station. It is a centre for exploring the picturesque Stretton hills, including the National Trust area of the Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley.

Shrewsbury is about 8 miles away, with extensive shopping facilities, restaurants, theatre, many picturesque half timbered buildings and the castle all contained in a loop of the River Severn.

Also within easy reach to the south is Ludlow and Stokesay Castle, to the west is Clun and the Welsh mountain ranges, and to the east Wenlock Edge, Much Wenlock, and Ironbridge Gorge.

Facilities

The two bedroom cottage faces south looking out over a private garden with views across the fields to the hills of the Lawley, Caer Caradoc and the Long Mynd.

The spacious accommodation sleeps up to 3, and has an entrance hall, a shower room, large beamed living room with a TV, video recorder and radio, and an oak balustraded staircase to the large galleried and beamed double bedroom.

A separate staircase leads to a galleried single bedroom with exposed beams.

Hot water and heating provided by night storage radiators is included in the rental price.

Electricity for lighting and cooking is by a £1 coin meter.

The fully equipped kitchen/ breakfast room includes a built-in electric oven and hob, microwave oven and fridge.

There is private parking by the cottage, and guests have the use of a lawn and garden with shrubs and mature trees bounded by a beech hedge.
