Jacob's Cottage was built around 1840 and forms part of a staggered row of nine terraced houses erected along Ebenezer Steps. This is one of seven ancient walkways connecting Bridgnorth's High Town to Low Town, and Ebenezer Steps clings to the rocky cliff which once formed part of the Castle's defensive ditch. The former artisans' houses are well-known for their unique situation and distinctive 'barley twist' chimneys, and Jacob's Cottage, with its intriguing 'in-house' cave (reputed to have been used as a donkey stable) and two bedrooms, is one of the largest in the row.

The property has recently been restored to a very high standard, and great care has been taken to provide quality furnishings, fabrics and accessories throughout. New fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric cooker, extractor fan, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine, small table and two chairs. Essentials - loo rolls, cleansing materials, oil, salt, tea, coffee and sugar provided.

One bedroom with new double bed, table lamps and clock radio; one bedroom with new twin beds, feature period fireplace, wall lights, clock radio.

Parking permit supplied.

All linen and towels provided, cooked meals service available. Children and pets welcome by arrangement.
