Farmhouse accommodation with Livery Facilities

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at our smallholding at Hollies Farm. Built in the seventeenth century, the propery still retains many exposed beams and sandstone walls.

We keep Dexter cattle, a small flock of sheep and Ricki the horse. We also grow raspberries and tayberries, which are available for sale in season. We also make all our own preserves.

We offer accommodation in an en-suite double room with an adjoining sitting / family room, offering you comfort and privacy during your stay, with every amenity.

Breakfast includes locally produced Gloucester Old Spot bacon and sausage, free range eggs and home baked bread rolls. Take afternoon tea with freshly baked scones in the garden or just sit and relax enjoying the views or watching the birds.

Facilities

Situated midway between Shrewsbury and Oswestry there are six National Trust properties close by including Chirk Castle and Attingham Park. There are many local gardens to visit and specialist plant nurseries.

Nesscliffe Hill is just a short walk away where you can see remains of a Roman Fort and visit the cave of the notorious highway man, Humphrey Kynaston.

We have several excellent golf courses nearby and a riding centre.

Equestrian - for those of you who like to hack out, but don't want a long distance ride, bring your own horse and spend as much or as little time as you like riding our local bridleways and quiet lanes of which this area is well provided. Grass livery available for your horse and ample safe parking for your box or trailer.

Come and spend a weekend, there is so much to see and do, or just relax in the beautiful countryside.

There are several local pubs providing good food and company.
