Heribert Cottage is one of five Victorian linked barn conversions situated in a rural development offering modern facilities yet retaining its original charm. It sits within an enclosed paved courtyard, approached by descending four steps from the nearby off-road parking area for 2 cars.

Its location is ideally suited for visiting towns such as Bishops Castle, Ludlow, Ironbridge - (The Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution - A World Heritage Site) Welshpool - (Home of Powis Castle) and nearby Shrewsbury with its wealth of historic buildings, medieval passageways, Castle, River with boat trips, and excellent shopping facilities including specialist shops, restaurants and cafes.

The Shropshire Hills - The Long Mynd, Stiperstones, Earls Hill, Pontesford Hill and Pontesbury Hill (some of which can be seen from the patio and car park of Heribert Cottage) are within a few miles and Welsh border country is a short drive away.

For keen gardeners both Shrewsbury and Welshpool have excellent Garden Nurseries and local gardens open to the public.

Facilities

Two Ground Floor Bedrooms - 1 Double and 1 Single. The Double Bedroom having a double brass & iron bed complimented with hand-painted wardrobe / cupboard and occasional furniture. The Single Bedroom having an original Single Pine Scandinavian Sleigh Bed with modern mattress, stripped pine wardrobe and dressing table, and occasional furniture.

The recently installed ground floor bathroom, with stone-tiled walls and floor, has a Jacuzzi bath with shower over, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.

Two short flights of stairs lead from the entrance hall to the 1st floor open-plan, light and airy living area with a recently fitted hand-made pine kitchen with electric cooker / hob /grill with extractor fan, refrigerator and microwave. The dining area, with pine table and oak rush-seated chairs, is just off the kitchen. The sitting area, with comfortable seating, is approached from the kitchen / dining area, and vice-versa, under an original cross beam which adds character to the building. Care Will Be Needed When Passing Under The Beam 'Duck or Grouse!'

Gas Central Heating Throughout. Gas and Electricity is included in cottage rental.

Ground Floor Bedrooms and Bathroom - 1st Floor Open-plan Living Area.

Enclosed Paved Patio with Garden Furniture.

Off-road Parking for 2 cars.

Furnishings sympathetic to barn conversion to include complimentary flowers.

Use of Jacuzzi in recently re-fitted bathroom.

Use of Iron and Ironing Board.

Washing-up Liquid provided.

Bed Linen, Towels and Tea-towels provided - changed weekly.

Pub and Restaurant 0.5 miles.

Bakers, Butchers, Co-op Supermarket, Chemist, Fish and Chip Shop, Chinese Take-away and Restaurant 2 miles away in the village of Pontesbury.

Short Breaks when available.

A welcome hamper awaits your arrival with basic essentials such as Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Bread, Butter, Fruit Juice and Toilet Roll.

Although Heribert Cottage is a non-smoking cottage please feel free to smoke outside on the Patio.
