Bed & Breakfast
A Victorian stone house standing in large gardens with ample parking, surrounded by thousands of acres of magnificent countryside.
With stunning views of the Corvedale, Teme Valley, Clee Hills and on a clear day far reaching views of the Malvern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Built in 1875 by the Allcroft family of Stokesay Court, the Allcrofts made a great fortune in the mid-19h century from the manufacture of gloves with the firm Dent Allcroft & Co. The fortune helped in the purchase of Stokesay Estate and Castle in 1869 from the Earl of Craven, and the building of Stokesay Court farmhouses and cottages.
Part of the estate was sold in the 1950's and again in the 1990's when the farmhouse was purchased. The Firs as it is now known, offers excellent accommodation in large en-suite rooms with antique beds. |
