Much Wenlock Bed and Breakfast
We have a large, centrally heated and double glazed family house situated on the outskirts within easy walking distance, of the historic medieval town of Much Wenlock. Close by is Wenlock Edge, The Shropshire Way and the Ironbridge Gorge museums.
Our home has well kept gardens to the front and rear enjoying open farmland views. Many plants thrive on the limestone soils of Wenlock Edge with several varieties of orchid growing in profusion; buzzards, ravens, woodpeckers and deer can be regularly seen from the garden. Pheasants are regular visitors and can be seen on most days to the delight of our guests.
The town centre with its priory, medieval buildings, privately owned shops, a range of public houses, choice of restaurants and home of the modern Olympic Games is just a short walk from our home.
There is a choice of scenic field paths or a walk by the main road that has a metalled footpath and street lighting. Either way is about 10-15 minutes walk to reach the town.
We are close to Wenlock Edge, the Shropshire Way, Ironbridge, the Gorge Museums and the Severn Valley Railway. An easy drive will take you to the scenic towns of Church Stretton and Ludlow.
We especially welcome bookings from walkers and cyclists as we are sited on the Shropshire Way and the C.T.C. preferred route for the end-to-end cycle ride. |
