SENIOR
VET
Sarah Probert BVSc MRCVS
Sarah
qualified from Bristol University in 2000 and has lived in
Shropshire ever since. In December 2003 she set up on her
own, starting Bridgnorth Veterinary Centre. She takes great
interest in preventative care to ensure the well being of
your pets and also a particular interest in anaesthesia and
pain management. Sarah is a local girl returning to her home
patch. She has 2 border collies herself, Moss & Lad, who
often pop up to say hello at reception. Consequently she has
a keen interest in canine behaviour!! When not at the practice
she can often be seen out on her horse Harvey - but blink
and you miss them! |
ASSISTANT
VET
Vicky Scarlett BVMS MRCVS
Vicky qualified
in 1998 from her hometown University in Glasgow. Since qualifying
she has worked in various small animal practices both in Scotland
and Shropshire. She now lives in Bridgnorth and is often seen
out walking her dog Uisage (or Colin as we usually call him
here!!). She has a keen interest in behaviour and has a qualification
in canine psychology. |
HEAD
NURSE
Lynne Jones RVN
Lynne
qualified in 1999 from Rodbaston College. As head nurse Lynne
keeps our nursing staff in order(!) and gives advice and help
on all the clinics the nurses offer. Lynne is the senior member
of staff involved in hydrotherapy working with Sarah.She is
a local girl and when not at Quatt Cricket Club or the practice,
enjoys walking with her dogs and life in Bridgnorth. Her latest
fad is salsa dancing and we often get to see the latest moves!!! |
NURSE
Jodie Baynam RVN
Jodie
qualified in 2004 and joined the practice in July 2005.Aswell
as running nurse clinics Jodie takes care of producing the
monthly newsletter and the practice monthly offers.When not
working enjoys spending money, holidays and going to the gym!!! |
NURSE
Vicki Bell RVN
Vicki
qualified in 2008 after completing her 2 years nurse training
with us and shows a keen interest in intensive care nursing.
Vicki also helps Jodie with the monthly newsletter and display
boards at the practice. |
STUDENT
VETERINARY NURSE
Gemma Vardill SVN
Gem joined us in
October 2007 and attends Rodbaston college once a week. She
lives in Shrewsbury with her family's 2 cocker spaniels. She
enjoys dancing of any variety! and breeds budgies as a hobby.
Gemma previously worked at a rescue kennels so has plenty
of experience with rescue dogs. |
SENIOR
RECEPTIONIST
Kim Hodgson
Kim has
lived in Bridgnorth all her life and is the first welcome
you will get at BVC. She has worked in veterinary practice
for over 7 years and (along with Moss and Lad!) is there to
deal with our clients requests and queries, as well as providing
help and advice. Kim has 2 cats. |
RECEPTIONIST
Claire Upton
Claire
previously worked with children but has now turned her interests
to animals. Since joining BVC she has already followed the
trend in giving a home to our waifs and strays, as Smudge
a three legged cat will tell you! She is our point of contact
for insurance matters as she deals with mountains of insurance
claims! |
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Di Stevens MCSP SRP
Di is
the daughter of a vet, and sensibly went into physio instead!!
Di is here once a month at the moment, as she also sees private
clients – including horses and of course people. Di
qualified in 1988 and performs massage, trigger release, energetics,
ultrasound and gives specific home exercises. |
