Parking and arrival
We are 3 miles from the village of Clun located off a small single track lane. The parking area is flat gravel, with a slight slope at the junction with the lane.
We can assist guests with luggage.

Main entrance
There is a small paved porch area between the drive and front door with a deep step down into the hall with a rug on a flagstone floor. The original oak main door is low in height.
In the hallway by the main door there is seating and access to a downstairs toilet and washbasin.

House layout
The house is on 2 levels, ground floor and first floor.
The breakfast room and guest sitting room are on the ground floor. The ground floor is level throughout, however, the flagstones are an uneven level in places.
All bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor. There are 10 steps to the landing with 1 turn and there is a handrail on the right going up. Each step is 20 cm high and 81 cm wide, but wider for the 3 steps on the turn.
The landing is level throughout apart from on step in the middle which leads to the double en-suite bedroom.

Bedrooms
The bedrooms are lockable with a key, a front door key is provided if required.
Cordless kettles and well stocked beverage trays are in all bedrooms.
Each bedroom has a main ceiling light controlled from the switch by the door, bedside lamps for each side of the bed and lighting by the dressing tables. There is also small torch in each room.
The duvets and pillows are feather, blankets and synthetic pillows are available.
Heating is thermostatically controlled and adjustable in all rooms.

Bathrooms
Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, one double bedroom has a private bathroom 4-5 paces across the landing which is lit at night.
All bathrooms have baths with hand held shower attachments. Only the twin en-suite bathroom has a stand-up shower over the bath. The roll-top bath is particularly high sided and deep.
All bathrooms have a shaver point light and non-slip mats.

Garden
Access to the garden from the house is through the French windows in the sitting room with one shallow step up and down onto a gravel path and the front lawn.
From the lane their are 4 steps down to the garden and from the main drive access is level.

Assistance dogs and other pets
Assistance dogs are welcomed by arrangement.
