Originally a Norman castle, now retains various medieval buildings, including the magnificent ruins of the inner bailey. The castle forms a spectacular backdrop to the world renown Ludlow Festival, held in the grounds every summer.

A series of Shuttle Bus Services offering "green" routes to the more remote villages and attractions. The 2007 Shuttle bus season will run at weekends and Bank Holidays from 7th April to 28th October inclusive.
Wenlock Edge is a long wooded escarpment stretching from The Wrekin to Craven Arms. The limestone ridge is the remains of a coral reef, so there are lots of opportunities for fossil hunting amongst the exposed rocks. The area is very popular with walkers and the National Trust own a seven mile stretch of the ridge.
