would add an extra special touch to your day.

For venues such as marquees, or events where a large number of guests are anticipated, and it is deemed appropriate, Stephanie can provide enhanced sound projection of her harp through unobtrusive amplification equipment

Background

Stephanie started playing the piano at 4, and the harp at 13. After graduating from London College of Music, she undertook Postgraduate Music Therapy training and teacher training.

She has played piano concertos and given recitals in London, including being selected to perform in the Purcell Room, as well as the Home Counties, Belfast and Bristol. She has also performed Handel's Harp Concerto and Britten's "Ceremony of Carols".

In July 2008, Stephanie was privileged to play her harp for Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra on her visit to Coalport China Museum.

"Considerable expertise in interpretation" Belfast Telegraph

As a HPC Registered Music Therapist, she heads "Shrewsbury Music Therapy Unit", she teaches harp and piano and, as a harpist, performs in hotels, concert halls and with orchestras throughout the country. In addition, she has done examining work and is involved with syllabus writing for London College of Music at Thames Valley University.

Stephanie also performs as a Classical Pianist for functions held at venues that have a suitable piano. She performs a predominantly classical repertoire, but also includes music of a lighter genre such as novelty jazz items, music from the shows, and disney items for any children present.

On occasion, Stephanie has received requests to provide a combination of harp and piano music, and at venues such as Walcot Hall, Adcote School, this has been possible to arrange.

A Tapestry of Harp

Stephanie released her first CD "A Tapestry of Harp" in October 2000 and along with playlists, it is available to help you make your own individual choice of music for a wedding ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast or any special occasion.

"A Tapestry of Harp" is a pedal harp CD of approximately 70 minutes playing time. It aims to weave a tapestry of different styles from the Celtic and folk tradition, to arrangements of well known pieces from the classical world.

There is also lesser known classical music written specifically for the harp, along with arrangements of music from the world of jazz and musicals.

"A really lovely disc! So full of interest, so generous in length - played with sincerity, musicianship, real flair, and an obvious love for the harp which really comes across to your listeners, who will love it too! My own personal favourites are nos. 21 (Today I met my love), 24(Jakez's "Take Five"), 27 (Autumn Leaves),and 33 (Mnathan a Ghlinne Seo) but it's a collection with such a selection that everyone will find his or her own particular treasure. Brilliant !"
