Sunday 7th March sees the start of the season at Whittington Castle with an Archery Display from the King Edwards' Living History Group.
On display will be a small selection of arms and armour. In addition they will be promoting a main weekend event to be held at the castle on 26 & 27th June 2010..
Castle Manager Sue Ellis says admission is free (with a £1 parking fee via the Pay and Display machine). The Archery display will take place from 11 until 3pm on Sunday and is suitable for all the family.
The castle starts its summer opening hours this week. From 1st March until 31st October 2010, the castle tearoom, bookshop and interpretation areas will be open from Wednesday until a Sunday from 10-4pm. Closed Mondays (except Bank Holidays) and Tuesdays.
