John Hughes from the Shropshire Wildlife Trust will take guests for an extremely enjoyable and interesting walk, foraging in the woodlands at Weston for all things ‘fungi’.

Throughout the walk John will provide information on how to pick fungi properly, how to identify this extraordinary fruit, what is good to eat, what to avoid and some interesting folklore and legend.

Andrea Webster, Marketing Executive at Weston Park explains “The walk takes about an hour and a half and John will show guests how to select and pick the edible mushrooms – so bring a basket and a spoon! After the walk guests will sit down to a three course lunch, with a mushroom theme, prepared by Head Chef Guy Day and his team in the Stables Bistro Restaurant.”

The cost for the Fungi Walk and Lunch is £26 per adult and £13 per child (3-14 years) and must be pre-booked by calling 01952 852100 or e-mail learning@weston-park.com
