The ‘eggciting’ treat for all the family will take place on Saturday 22nd March and the gates open at 11am. All proceeds from the Trail will support the work of the Youth Sport Trust (YST).

Families will have the choice of completing two Easter Trails; an indoor chick trail around the Stately Home, plus the opportunity to safely explore the stunning parkland. Every child who successfully completes the Trail will receive a chocolate egg courtesy of Sainsbury’s in Telford.

Participants will follow a series of clues clearly identified by Weston’s Easter chicks leading them around many of the Park’s attractions such as Pendrill Cave, the Woodland Adventure Playground and the Yew Hedge Maze.  While the House Chick Trail will incorporate rooms including the Dining Room, Library and Tapestry Room.

“This popular event is the ideal way to welcome the start of Weston Park’s 2008 Open Season and by working with the Youth Sport Trust and Sainsbury’s it is the perfect way to keep children active this Spring” said Gareth Williams Weston Park’s Curator.

“We like to launch the start of our 2008 Open Season in a big way and the Easter Trail is an ideal event for this. We are very pleased this year to be supporting the YST, who as a charity organisation, work tirelessly to support the education and development of young people through sporting methods.”

“Every child who successfully completes the Weston Park Easter Trail will also be entered into a prize draw to win a 2008 Weston Park Family Privilege Pass. The Family Privilege Pass provides unlimited access to the House, Park and Gardens during our 2008 Open Season, plus free or discounted entry to a variety of public events” concluded Gareth.

Sue Barrett, Youth Sport Trust adds: “Weston Park offers families a safe environment for children to run free and its historical tales can captivate a child’s interest. We are very happy that Weston Park has chosen to support our aims of creating a better future for young people.

Normal admission to the House, Park and Gardens will apply. For further information on the Easter Trail or any other 2008 events at Weston Park call 01952 852100 or visit their website www.weston-park.com .
