Led by wildlife and ornithologist expert, John Tucker, the Dawn Chorus Walk will commence at 5.15am finishing with a Full English breakfast in the Stables Bistro Restaurant.
The early risers will enjoy a two-hour guided ramble around the 1,000 acres of parkland watching out and listening to the numerous species of birds including robins, wrens, thrushes, blue tits, nuthatch and summer migrant warblers such as the blackcap, garden warbler, willow warbler and chiffchaff.
John Tucker has gained over 20 years experience within the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, his present role as Wildlife Site Officer for the Blue Remembered Hills Project has given him the opportunity to increase the awareness and understanding of the landscape to the general public.
Martin Gee, Weston Park’s Head Gardener believes that visitors will be in for an interesting morning, “Weston Park has many woods and orchard areas, ideal habitations for various bird species and John’s experience makes him the perfect tour guide for this event”.
