Walk around the beautiful gardens and parkland at Weston Park to see the carpet of shimmering bluebells this Bank Holiday weekend. (Sunday 4th May 2008).
After building up an appetite, a delicious two course lunch will be served in the Stables Bistro Restaurant featuring local produce, prepared by Greg Strachan who recently won Chef of the Year at the Black Country Hotel & Tourism awards.
Head Gardener at Weston Park, Martin Gee leads this popular annual walk, covering 3.5 miles of viewing areas which are not normally accessible to the visiting public. Martin’s family have lived and worked on the Weston estate for over 200 years and the walk will provide a fascinating insight into the magnificent Stately Home, set amidst 1,000 acres of landscaped parkland.
The walk starts at 10am and includes the bluebell walk, two-course lunch and entrance to the House, Park and Gardens, places still available. Alternatively, you can join the walk only, for £10 per person.
The event takes place on Sunday 4th May and costs £25 per adult and £12.50 per child (under 12). Pre-booking is required, please visit www.weston-park.com, e-mail enquiries@weston-park.com or telephone 01952 852100.
