Peek through our doors, both real and virtual, and discover festive treats for the whole family.
A free online advent calendar has been created at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/midlandsfreshair and hidden behind the doors are details of Christmas events across the region, festive recipes, special offers and competitions.
“We wanted to wish our visitors a very merry Christmas and an online advent calendar, with a selection of seasonal goodies, seemed a perfect way of doing so,” said Jo Mason, Marketing and Communications Consultant.
“As well as finding out where you can meet Father Christmas, pick up unusual gifts and sing your favourite Christmas carols, the advent calendar also contains vouchers for the many shops and tea-rooms across the Midlands and the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.”
This weekend marks the start of ‘Attingham Christmas’, which runs every day from Saturday 10 to Friday 23 December from 11am to 4pm. Step back in time and enjoy festivities of a bygone era with the house dressed for a 1920s celebration. Children can step through the magic door and join Father Christmas in his study, meet his elves and receive a Christmas gift.
At Sunnycroft in Wellington, visitors can take a step back in time and enjoy the annual Edwardian Christmas events from Friday 16 to Tuesday 20 December, 11am to 4pm, last admission at 3pm.
