Hopesay Church

Come and visit our beautiful Norman Church for a celebration in flowers, of over 100 years of Hopesay History 1800-1950; through the Beddoes family which included Dr Thomas Beddoes, Chemist Physician and Democrat, Thomas Lovell Beddoes Romantic Poet, Alice Blandford who gave Hopesay Hill to the National Trust and Vivienne De Watteville explorer, writer and photographer.

Make it a full day out. View the church and flowers in the morning, picnic in the church meadow and then take the Guided walk at 2.30pm through the village, getting details of the history behind the buildings, and up onto Hopesay Hill for spectacular views of the Parish, finishing with Afternoon Tea at one of the houses once owned by the Beddoes family.

There will be ample parking about 300 yards from the church with a few parking spaces closer to the church for Blue Card Permit holders.
