Younger visitors can have a go at hunting minibeasts in the garden and see if they can find some of the spiders that live in the Dingle. If hunting out bugs is not for you then grab some binoculars and look to the skies to spot some of the many birds that make the estate their home.

There will also be a butterfly trail through the gardens for children to follow.

For an adventure slightly further afield visitors can join a walk to discover the underground and nocturnal world of badgers with the Worcestershire Badger Society.

There will be a great opportunity to meet some of the beautiful native owls, which are cared for by Gill Hales. Visitors can get up close and personal with these magnificent birds for some memorable encounters.

Visitor Services Manager Nick Smith says: “Our Wildlife Day will be a fun afternoon for the whole family and is a great way of finding out more about the creatures that live on the estate and their habitats. Don’t forget to bring along your camera for some great shots of the owls which will no doubt be the stars of the day.”

The garden opens at 12noon and the house opens from 2pm. The National Trust tea-room is open from 11.30am and the shop from 1pm.  For visitors joining the badger walks, suitable footwear is advisable.
