The National Trust property is undertaking a major £17,000 repair operation to reinstate pathways along the Long Mynd which were destroyed during the floods last year.
Following a £12,500 Landscape Improvement Grant from Natural England and £4,500 investment from the National Trust itself, the work will begin on Tuesday.
David Cowell, Area Warden for the Long Mynd, said: “This is essential work which could not take place without the support of Natural England and the help from our volunteers.”
The grit stone, which is native to the Long Mynd, is being transported from Bayston Hill Quarry to Carding Mill Valley by a specialist helicopter team from Bedfordshire.
More than 100 metres of pathway and stream bank are set to be restored and 25 metres of stone pitching will take place along steep hillsides.
