John Kirkpatrick’s Victorian Farm

Arts Alive is bringing John Kirkpatrick to Quatt Village Hall on Saturday 24th September. A Victorian Farmers Year in Song is a lighthearted look at the songs, stories, myths and customs of the farming year.

John Kirkpatrick

Based on extensive research, John Kirkpatrick takes us through sowing the seeds to the high summer harvest, then through the long winter months ‘til the sun warms the soil again and the circle turns. One of the greatest singers of Traditional English Music, since the 1960s John has been at the very forefront of innovative folk in Britain, playing and has been featured in the TV series Victorian Farm which was filmed at Acton Scott Historic Farm.
