Friendly, peaceful accommodation in a 15th century farmhouse
Mr & Mrs Jones offer you a warm friendly welcome for bed and breakfast on a working farm. The 16th century house, situated in the village of Acton Scott where the TV Series "Victorian Farm" was filmed, is of stone and inside original, exposed beams give it character.
Acton Scott is an excellent place for exploring, cycling and walking with footpaths leading out of the farmyard. To the north, three miles away, is the Victorian spa town of Church Stretton with it's hills. To the south is wooded Wenlock Edge at a similar distance.
Acton Scott is well placed for a visit to Stokesay Castle and half an hour's drive to the historic market town of Ludlow, the county town of Shrewsbury or the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge. Also close by is Much Wenlock a medieval market town where the Olympics first started, the Severn Valley Railway and much to see in Mid Wales.
Acton Scott is in a unique position to give guests an added dimension to their stay if they so wish. After seeing the farm's cattle and sheep, a visit to Acton Scott Historic Working Farm next to it will bring to life farming as it was at the turn of the 19th century and where the TV Series "Victorian Farm" was filmed. |
